Some drill center measurements are listed in inches, others are listed
in millimeters. Why?
Drill centers are measured in inches by American companies and in
millimeters by European companies. 3 inch or 5 inch drill centers are
standard US options, and 96mm (approximately 3¾ inches) is the
European standard.
How can I convert from inches to millimeters and vice versa?
To convert millimeters to inches, divide the number of millimeters by 25.4.
To convert inches to millimeters, multiply the number of inches by 25.4.
What is the benefit/drawback of buying pulls or handles with standard
drill centers?
It is equally easy to install pulls with both standard drill centers
and nonstandard measurements. The size of the drill center is
relevant mostly for replacement pulls and handles, or for those
concerned about replacing their handles in the future. Buying
hardware with standard size drill centers will give you more options
when looking to replace your hardware, since many styles will fit into
the existing holes. If you are replacing existing cabinet handles,
you must measure the drill center to make sure that your new hardware
selection will fit into the existing holes. If your hardware choice
does not match the current holes, you can either choose a
complementary backplate to cover the previous holes, or find a
different hardware style that will suit the existing holes.
I need five pairs of hinges, should I place 5 or 10 in my cart?
Hinges come in pairs unless otherwise noted, so if you need 5 pairs of hinges, you will likely only need to place 5 items in your
cart. If the hinges are sold seperately, it will be noted on the product page, and then you will need to place 10 individual hinges
in your cart.
What else must be purchased to complete my kitchen?
No kitchen is complete without a proper system to keep its content
organized. After you have decided upon your cabinet measurements,
choose complementary pull out shelving systems, Lazy Susans, pull out
trash cans, towel bars and drawer organizers that will help keep your
cabinets and drawers efficient and tidy.

What is the difference between different metal hardware finishes?
When browsing different hardware styles, many of the finishes may look
the same to the naked eye. This is not an optical illusion; many of
the finishes are remarkably similar in appearance. However, each
metal finish boasts its own unique properties that contribute to its
durability. Each finish also has a slightly different metallic hue
that may make a dramatic difference within your space.
